Wine List

The wine program at ARIA is overseen by head sommelier, Matthew Dunne. Matt has created a list that specialises in hard to find producers & selections from almost every major wine producing region in the world. With over 950 selections to choose from, the list offers a great selection and breadth not often seen in Australia. In addition to showcasing great Australian wines, ARIA offers the connoisseur a great selection of wine from Burgundy, Rhone, Champagne and Bordeaux; plus wines from Germany, Spain and Austria.

Sommeliers and staff receive an extensive and ongoing wine education & are able to guide patrons through the vast twenty-five page list. The wine program offers a great selection of wine by the glass that changes frequently to accommodate the ever changing menu.

The wine list at ARIA has won many awards including most recently the Sydney Morning Herald's Good Food Guide 2009 Wine List of the Year Award. This followed on from being inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of The Australian Wine List of the Year Awards 2008. Other successes have included the 2007 Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year Award, plus the 2003 Tucker Seabrook Wine List of the Year. In 2004 the list was given the highest score in the 11 year history of the Tucker Seabrook Wine List Awards with a score of 97/100.

Each year ARIA holds a series of wine dinners with noteable producers from around Australia. Previous dinners have included: Henschke, Bass Phillip, Moss Wood and Tyrrell's. If you would like more information on up-coming Wine Dinners please join our mailing list.
